Another amazing photo by Monster that does kind of remind me of Jack the Ripper. This seemed appropriate to post on the first day of a new year with all the rain pouring and the winds howling outside at this very moment.   Lovely, yet creepy.

    I’ve taken a moment to check out more of Monster’s pictures. They inspire me to see things a different way, which is one of the wonders of great photography. A lot of his pictures are ineffably spooky. There’s that portrait of that lady he did. It had a strange effect.

    Anyway, I also get disheartened at seeing how much more skill there is left to acquire. It’s like anything: there’s always going to be someone who’s better.

    BTW, I was wondering when you were going to change themes. The “Silver Is The New Black” is a good choice for someone who doesn’t want the theme to interfere too much with other art and photos in the posts and sidebars.

    Monster’s photographs are indeed haunting, don’t you think? They can leave you feeling any range of emotions depending on the particular picture. I’ll check out the lady as soon as I finish this response. Check out “The Blues” which is one of my favorites but it has evoked strong reactions in different people that I’ve shared it with.

    Feel inspired not discouraged, Pen. You have an eye for capturing images that are lovely so don’t sell yourself short and keep criticizing all of your photos. I say this in all honesty.

    I don’t like this theme at all but am limited because of the size of my images. GRRRRR!

    You’ll find the right theme. I’ll put my thinking cap on and maybe come up with a suggestion.

    I’ll look for “The Blues” too. You’ve got me curious. 🙂
