“If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.”

    Nice post and picture.
I would say, if man doesnt keep peace with his companions, he doesnt have peace in himself… If you have the water, you can give to others to drink from it, if you but dont have…..

    vinayakah,

Thanks for your insightful comment – I agree completely that it’s crucial to have inner peace. Without it, relationships can be meaningless especially if we depend on others to fulfill our needs. That was my interpretation of Thoreau’s quote but your point is well taken. 😉

I appreciate your visit and hope you’ll contribute more of your thoughts. Welcome to WordPress.

Thank you for your comment, Gracie.

We try to find a peace, where it doesnt live, and if we have it by hand, we dont recognize it. Well, we need to clear up our view a little, to see the beauty that lives within. If we recognize it, it will shine through us, and show us what is sweet, and what bitter, to decide propperly. 😉
